What is the VET Student Loans program?
The VET Student Loans program is an Australian Government loan program that helps eligible students enrolled in our approved Diploma level courses pay their tuition fees.
If you are an eligible student, the Department of Education, Skills and Employment may approve your VET Student Loan for an approved course. The department will pay your loan directly to the College. You will be responsible for any gap amount in the tuition fees, which are not covered by the loan. You will owe a debt to the Australian Government for the loan, which will be managed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Am I Eligible?
To see if you might be eligible please use the VET Student Loans Eligibility Tool located here.
How much of the tuition fees will a VET Student Loan cover?
A VET Student Loan may be able to cover up to $90,497 of your tuition fees in 2024.
How Do I Apply?
To apply for a loan, once you have been accepted onto a course, let the College know you wish to access a VET Student Loan.
If you meet the eligibility requirements, the College will notify the Government you wish to access a loan.
You will receive an email from the Government with instruction on how to access your application. This is done through the Electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF) system. You will need to complete this form including entering your Tax File Number (TFN).
After submitting the eCAF you will receive an email with confirmation that the application as been approved.
Remember a VET Student Loan is an agreement between you and the Australian Government. For more information refer to the Student Handbook and the VET Student Loan Information Booklet.
